This is a full-time, salaried position on our staff and is responsible for a broad range of administrative and managerial duties. While providing strong administrative support, this person interacts with and its a friendly face to our congregants, students and parents. Useful skills are engaging with kids and adults, communications, computers [Microsoft Word and Excel, Desktop Publishing (Microsoft Publisher, Constant Contact) as well as the ability to learn synagogue database, Salesforce, and calendaring (Microsoft Outlook)]. Familiarity with the Hebrew language is recommended. This position reports directly to the Director of Life Long Learning and the Director of Young Family Programs to assist in day-to-day operations of the Religious school (Beit Sefer), Young Family Programs and Adult Education programs, and provides administrative support where needed. An important aspect of this position is to work closely with the Directors to facilitate strong communications with the faculty and parent community by implementing regular communications and instituting strategies that ensures that the missions of the program is widely known and understood. This Administrator is an integral part of the synagogue staff and participates in weekly staff meetings. Supportive environment, training and some flex time.

o Maintain student and teacher files. Responsible for all school registrations and maintaining complete class rosters
o Interface with Synagogue’s Finance Manager regarding financial matters to include expenditures, payroll, and billing of school fees.
o Coordinate the emailing of report cards and arrangements for parent/teacher conferences.
o Ensure that the office and the school are well-stocked and able to plan for future needs. Oversee the purchase/ordering of supplies, software/textbooks, and snack.
o Oversee and implement the educational communication plan, to include but not limited to: all school mailings, weekly e-newsletters to various school programs and congregational wide communication pieces, and the education pages on the website.

Work Hours
Sundays 8:00 a.m.to1:00 p.m. (when school is in session)
Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Fridays 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (when school is not in session)
